Business and individual tax preparation in Baltimore
The business return and the owner's return are one problem, not two. We prepare both, file federal and Maryland, and stand between you and the IRS if a letter arrives afterwards.
Federal, Maryland, and the other states you owe
Clients in 30 states means multi-state filing is routine here, not an exception we charge to learn.

A CPA who can also argue the case
Anyone can buy software and type numbers into it. What matters when a return is questioned is who is allowed to stand up for it.

More about the firm and the teamLate filing and late payment are two penalties
They are calculated separately, which is why filing on time still helps even when you cannot pay yet.

Preparation
We prepare the entity return first, because the owner's Form 1040 depends on the K-1 it produces.
Review call
We walk you through the result, the balance due and the estimates for next year before anything is filed.
E-file and plan
We e-file, send you the payment instructions, and note what to change before the next filing season.
Extensions are free with our tax plans. An extension moves the filing date, never the payment date — see tax planning for the part that happens before the deadline.
Tax questions owners ask
Q Which returns do you prepare?
Forms 1120-S, 1065, 1120 and Schedule C on the business side, Form 1040 for the owners, Maryland Forms 500 and 510, and returns in other states where your business has a filing requirement.
Q I have not filed for several years. What happens now?
We work out what should have been filed, reconstruct the numbers from bank records, and file the missing years in the order that limits the damage. Late filing and late payment are separate penalties, so filing sooner lowers the total even if you cannot pay in full yet.
Q Can you represent me if the IRS audits my return?
Yes. Anvar is a CPA and a United States Tax Court Practitioner, so he can represent you before the IRS and in the United States Tax Court; Vokhid is an IRS Enrolled Agent. We also handle Comptroller of Maryland examinations, notices and payment arrangements.
Q What does a business return cost?
The Essentials plan is $2,450 per year and covers the federal and state corporate filing, the Delaware franchise tax filing where it applies, and a free extension. Larger engagements start at $4,950; extras such as additional states, shareholder returns and FBAR filings are listed on the pricing page.
Q How early should I start?
Partnership and S-corporation returns are due March 15 and individual returns April 15, each moving to the next business day when the date falls on a weekend or holiday. Books that are reconciled in January turn filing into a review instead of a reconstruction.
